Everyone remembers the rags-to-riches tale---the old Horatio Alger story that still holds true in America. If you work hard and labor long hours, the “American Dream” in the broader sense is possible in this country. Take for example, Jonathan Bender, NBA Baller who turned out to be No. 5 in the draft Pick in 1999. Unfortunately, after a major knee injury, his seven-year career with the Indiana Pacers crumbled to dust. That’s when Bender decided to put on his entrepreneurial cap, and set out to make the JB Intensive Trainer to strengthen his lower extremities. Over the next three years, Bender worked on his device, wearing it to fortify his own legs. He regained the power in his legs and eventually was recruited by the New York knicks. He later retired in 2010, but today the JB Trainer has been successfully pushed to market. Get the inside scoop and read our insightful piece written by journalist Michael Gordon on page 16.
